Car supply

We supply our own and leased grain hopper cars for loading at elevators across the KTZ network. Each request is tied to the GU-12 transport plan, so the supply date is known in advance — not “whenever a car becomes free”.

  • Fleet: over 1,200 cars with 94–120 m³ capacity and a 70-tonne payload.
  • Planning: off-season supply from 3 days, during the harvest peak 10–14 days ahead.
  • Reserve: part of the fleet is held for September–December contracts.
  • Inspection: before supply, each car is checked for food-grade cargo.

Freight forwarding

We pay freight charges on every territory along the route and give the exporter one through rate. No need to sign contracts with forwarders in each transit country or reconcile five invoices.

  • Territories: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, China.
  • The rate is fixed in the contract for the agreed volume and period.
  • We prepare the quote within one business day of receiving the lot details.
  • Settlement currency: tenge, US dollars or rubles by agreement.
03

Documents and certification

We prepare the full document package for grain exports. The cost is already included in the rate — no separate invoices “for paperwork”.

SMGS waybill

Issuing and corrections in transit.

Phytosanitary certificate

Through the authorized body at the loading point.

Quality certificate

Test report against the contract specifications.

Certificate of origin

Form ST-1 or general form — as the buyer requires.

04

Customs clearance

We prepare export declarations and work with customs posts at Dostyk, Altynkol, Saryagash and Bolashak until the cargo is released.

  • Goods declaration and preparation of accompanying documents.
  • Handling queries and inspections without stopping the whole group of cars.
  • Advice on HS codes and destination country requirements.
05

Transshipment and ports

For Iran we arrange transfer to standard gauge; for the Caspian route, ferry shipment. We check the quality and weight of the lot at every transfer.

  • Transfer at the Incheh Borun and Sarakhs crossings.
  • Shipping via Aktau and Kuryk ports to Baku, Anzali and Amirabad.
  • Weighing and sampling during transshipment, recorded in a report.

24/7 dispatch

A dispatcher on duty follows the shipment from loading to unloading. You get a car location report once a day and a separate notice when the train clears a border crossing.

  • Daily tracking report by messenger or email.
  • Arrival notice 48 hours before reaching the destination station.
  • Delay analysis at interchanges with the cause and a forecast.
  • Closing report for each shipment: transit time, idle time, deviations.

FAQ

Freight charges on every territory along the route, the car, documents and certificates, and dispatch support. Only elevator services and, if needed, transfer to standard gauge are paid separately.

Yes. Grain and oilseeds travel in hopper cars; flour and bagged products in covered wagons. Meal and bran go in hoppers once the bulk density is agreed.

Yes, if there is other loading at the same station in the same period. The dispatcher will suggest the nearest window when quoting.

The shipment is insured; terms and limits are set in the contract. We cover demurrage and idle time caused by the operator.
